7) Supplemental Recruitment Initiatives.

Initiative: Lamar Community College Career Fair

The General Manager and an on air talent attended Lamar Community College’s Career Day, held on March 31, 2010, and set up an information booth. This event brought in high school students from Southeast Colorado, and students from Lamar Community College to enjoy a full day of information on different career choices they may want to pursue.

Initiative: Scholarship at Colorado State University of Pueblo

KVAY’s General Manager donated a gift to Colorado State University - Pueblo in the amount of $1,000.00. This money was given to support a scholarship for a student in the mass com department with a radio broadcast emphasis. The contribution was made on 6-21-10 to be used for the 2010/2011 school year.
