How did you end up working at KVAY? It’s a twisted tale of life’s little vagaries.
Who did you want to be like when you were growing up? Steve Allen…he originated the Tonight Show…was an advocate for better education for our nation’s young people, …a musician, a composer, an author, traveler and lecturer and the man had the most infectious laugh of any person I ever met. He died while playing with his grandchildren which is not a bad way to make an exit.
If you could meet one person past, present or future who would it be and why? Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby, to ask them the obvious.
If you were granted one wish, what would it be and why? I’d like to meet and spend time with some of my ancestors.
What was the last book you read? ‘Refiner’s Fire by Mark Halprin
If you could spend a whole day with somebody famous, who would it be? Ben Franklin and Thomas Paine…both helped give birth to our nation. One wound up revered and respected and the other was buried in a pauper’s grave. I’d be interested in hearing their observations about the condition of our nation today
What's your favorite candy and soda? Hands down…a bag of crunchy Cheetos and a big bottle of iced cold root beer, which helps explain my cardiac x-rays.
